Cathedral Of Archangel

Dedicated to Archangel Michael, the Cathedral Of The Archangel was constructed by the Italian architect Aleviz Noviy between 1505 and 1509. Lying in Cathedral Square of the Kremlin, this magnificent cathedral flaunts mesmerizing Russian style of architectural design.

The cathedral features a total of five huge domes with the centre one coated with gold and the subordinate ones coated with silver. The Cathedral Of The Archangel served as the burial site for the Russian rulers till the beginning of the 18th century and it is home to 54 graves at present.
